I have been working with Rudyard for the past 2 years on a specific whole school PE programme that aims to create friendly competition amongst all students and establish a passion for sport throughout the school.
Recently I have been working towards being able to utilise another passion of mine and offer a new programme to all schools. I am extremely excited to be able to continue the development of a Forest school programme for all students to take part.
Coombe Road Wednesday, I am very fortunate to be able to teach every student at the school.
I have worked closely with the schools PE team to develop a programme that is underpinned by my teaching philosophies.
I also deliver an afterschool club for Reception - Yr 4 focused on playing as many games and hearing as much laughter as I can in an hour from all that come along.
I start the day with over 20 children enjoying an active start to their day at my before school MultiSports games club, Its loud, fun and competitive, see my clubs page for more info.
I finish my week with a brilliant bespoke programme just for Saltdean students. Named 'interhouse' each week a different year group take part in a chosen sports game to try and score their house team as many points as possible, classes are split and children play for their house team, giving students the opportunity to play with children and friends they wouldn't normally have the opportunity to in a PE lesson.
I finish with an active Athletics/Cross country club during lunch time for over 20 Year 5/6 students - this lot are not to be messed with on the running track, they are fast. I aim to make running fun, with games that hide the amount of running i'm asking the students to do, as I know from years of running.... it can be a bit boring.
I have had lots of requests from Saltdean Primary students to start up a new club outside of the school day - I'm working on it you guys!
